Healthy Vegan Egg Substitutes

I can’t count the times I’ve been asked these questions:
 
  • What do vegans use as egg substitutes? 
  • Can you still bake anything ?
  • Is there a special egg replacer I must buy ? 
  • Most importantly: are these substitutions healthy ? 
 
So I decided to write a quick post with a fun infographic showing you how to make your own homemade, soy free healthy mixes in no time. You can print it and stick on your refrigerator door If you wanted to! 
 
Also, you can use these substitutes in a lot of different recipes, from baked goods ( muffins, brownies & cakes) to binding veggie burgers, to thickening soups and stews, or pancake mixes for breakfast.

Top Healthy Vegan Egg Substitutes:

  1.  1 Tbsp chia seeds or ground chia + 3 Tbsp water.
  2.  1 Tbsp flax seeds or ground flax  + 3 Tbsp water = 1 Flegg
  3.  1/4 avocado to replace each egg.
  4.  1/4 cup puréed fruit to replace 1 egg.
  5.  1 tsp husk powder + 3 tsp water. Whisk and allow to sit a few minutes before adding to your recipe.
