Cabbage
My best healthy cabbage recipes, the ones that are easy to make and have become a part of our daily lives.
There are many ways to cook cabbage: from raw shredded coleslaw salads, sautéed with caraway seeds and tossed with noodles, in soups and stews, stuffed cabbage with brown rice and mushrooms simmered in tomato broth, or simply pickled with dill and peppercorns. You can even throw a few wedges on the grill if you like, the possibilities are endless when it comes to a head of this humble vegetable.
Cabbage is one of the lowest calorie foods in the world known for its anti-cancer benefits. It contains a lot of sulfur that gives it its impossible to ignore pleasant odor, also knows as “ eau d’New Jersey ”. But don’t let that hold you back from enjoying this superfood loaded with phytochemicals, vitamins, minerals and fiber.
Enjoy!
